The Challenge: Our client required an evaluation of new product pricing against competitors’ packaging and pricing. She also needed to show senior management that the new product packaging and pricing would not cannibalize existing offerings.
Straw Dogs Solution: We built a price level chart plotting competitors’ pricing and our client’s price points against increasing levels of functionality—illustrating that proposed pricing was compelling and competitive. We then compared the new product packaging and pricing with the existing product line and suggested a complementary base price, accommodating optional add-ons.
